Pacific Maritime Agency
                                                         acts as matchmaker by introducing available crew to available yacht positions. We act on YOUR behalf negotiating directly with captains and yacht owners for the best arrangements to suit both parties.

Once you are registered you'll have access to important information about yacht owners, the boats and crew requirements to assist you in making the right choice when presented with a number of different job offers.

Registering with us is free. In order to match your qualifications, experience, personality and preferences to available yacht positions, please ensure that the information you provide is correct and current.

Application Requirements:


    Upon completion, your application will be considered ACTIVE unless advised otherwise.

In order to keep you listed as “ACTIVE” all documentation (including medical

certificate) MUST be valid for at least the next 12 months.

Please inform us immediately should you find other employment, so we can put you on our “Stand-By” list.


Should your status once again change to “AVAILABLE” please contact us so that we can once again activate your account and update any outdated information. (Please remember to confirm the year of your ORIGINAL application).

Terms and Conditions for Crew Registration

I understand that my data will be included in Pacific Maritime Agency Ltd. (PMA Ltd.) database free of charge. Information I provide online may be required later by the phone, fax, or e-mail. The Seafarer Registry Application is strictly confidential and will only be disclosed to a potential employer or relevant third party with my permission. Any referral of my confidential data to any other party will only be permitted with my verbal or written consent.

I understand that inclusion in the database in no way represents a guarantee of employment.

I understand that PMA Ltd. reserves the right to conduct background and reference checks, and to remove any candidate from the database if said candidate fails to meet the standards for employment deemed appropriate by PMA Ltd. As a crewing agency we may be obliged by law to cooperate fully with law enforcement officials in any investigation relating to any interaction with PMA Ltd.

I understand that any employment gained through PMA Ltd. for any amount of time, within one year of any referral, will be subject to a Placement Fee due paid by the employer to PMA Ltd. Failure to report such employment to PMA Ltd. for billing purposes will cause my file to be inactivated and could result in prosecution.

I understand that it is my responsibility to notify PMA Ltd. of any discontinuation of my employment search, regardless of the source of employment, in order to keep PMA Ltd. placement process as efficient as possible.

I understand that while I am listed as “Active” with PMA Ltd. my personal data excluding contact numbers and residency address may be submitted to positions that match the parameters designated without prior notification. My full data shall only be disclosed when authorized to do so by me personally.

I understand that if I cease employment gained through PMA Ltd. for any reason within the first 90 days of employment, or at anytime without 2 weeks notice, it is my duty to inform PMA Ltd. immediately in order to avoid being held responsible for placement fees paid by the employer.

I understand that my file will remain active until I notify PMA Ltd. that I have found a suitable position elsewhere and do not currently or until a certain date require PMA Ltd. services. That shall not exempt me from the future cooperation with PMA Ltd. provided I update my file accordingly as to new information and notice of availability.

I understand that PMA Ltd. is not responsible for the actions of its clients (Owners, Captains etc.) after the candidate has made initial contact with the employer and/or commenced employment.


I understand that PMA Ltd. is an introduction agency only and that any details pertaining to crew and yacht owners/skippers is information offered by the individuals concerned. PMA Ltd. cannot vouch for the accuracy of information given to them and members are requested to personally confirm the suitability and safety of any yacht, as well as the competency of skipper and crew.

I furthermore acknowledge that there are risks attached to boating and that PMA Ltd. cannot be held responsible for any accident, injury, loss or damage as a result of an introduction. PMA Ltd. recommends that I acquire and maintain adequate personal accident, personal liability, sickness and life insurance.
